Looking for the perfect Raleigh Engagement Photo location? The Raleigh Rose Garden is one of the best spots for a mid-summer engagement photoshoot.

The Raleigh Rose Garden is open to the public from dawn to dusk, 7 days a week. There are no fees to visit the beautiful gardens or to take photos there! Picking the flowers is prohibited.

I put together a gorgeous picnic for Ashleigh and William’s Raleigh engagement photos. A sweet but simple spread to give something to do besides walking and sitting for their photos. Make sure to practice Leave No Trace and clean up after yourselves.

The gardens are set below the horizon, which makes for lots of shade, which means no harsh sun for most of the late afternoon until evening. However, you should arrive earlier than golden hour in order to capture sunlit photos since the sun sets below the horizon a little faster here.
